This is out of one of the earlier mahogany Victrola XIV's but I'm not sure if it's out of the earliest one. I have an early oak XIV and it's the same size as the machine I have, but I never junked one of those out, so it's probably out of the second style so you'll want to measure your opening to make sure if it will fit. It's 18 ⅛" wide and 14 ¾" tall. I was up in my attic today and ran across this so I figured it might as well find a home (if there is one). You can see the number strip has some damage and it's dusty, but I don't see anything else wrong with it. Anyway, if you have any questions, or if you need more pictures feel free to ask. Thanks now.

WELL what a coincidence! This is exactly what I’m looking for mine!

Congratulations Andy, that timing was perfect for you.
Just out of curiosity, does the XIV only have this front rack, or is there anything else behind it that keeps the records straight (grooves, slats, etc)? I never had one, so just interested to learn.
Thanks
Andreas

I have an oak version of that early XIV and it just has the rack in there with a strip of wood at the bottom that keeps the records from going back in there too far and there's a strip of wood at the to that the top of the rack rests on. It's kind of odd I think, that Victor didn't put some felt on that bottom strip that the records strike but they didn't. There are just a couple of round headed screws that hold the rack in on the bottom. I can pull the rack out of that machine and take some pictures if someone wants. It's kind of a simple set-up really.

I'm glad Andy can complete his XIV. As Ken mentioned, this is the Forum at its best.
