Hi, I'll show you how the plate turned out after putting the new fabric on it.

Looks very good.

I'm searching for the same fabric. Did you find it locally or did you get it from a phonograph supplier?

cybertigger (Walt Sommers-Gettysburg Antique Phonograph) on eBay sells them, or used to. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384947845593?h ... Swax5YpnKu

Good Luck!

I have used one of Walt's felts. Nice, high quality felt and accurately cut.

Thank you Claudio, I may go to a felt store this week.

Walt's eBay items aren't visible to me anymore because he specifically lists his items excluding shipping to Canada. I've used his felts before but can't get a hold of him by email or phone.

I've always found it's a good idea to look in at least 2 fabric and/or craft supply stores when looking for turntable felt.
They often get felt from different suppliers, so there's a better chance you'll find the correct colour and quality felt or velvet/velour to make a suitable replacement.

The best quality felt I've come across is used by billiard table manufacturers/restorers, but it can often be too high quality for a lot of cheaper or mass produced machines.
But if you're looking for the closest match to the original, it pays to shop around.
