I love the Uncle Josh stories. Cal Stewart recorded on so many record labels I wonder how many different times that he told this same story. The internet archive has a pretty good collection of his recordings:

One of the few who recorded for Victor, Columbia and Edison, in addition to others.

His Victor records still turn up with regularity. I used to buy them, but stopped at a certain point. I've got enough Uncle Josh to last me for awhile now. :|

Thanks for the links guys! I have a spattering of U. Josh recordings
on cylinder, 78, and diamond disc. Frankly I don't even know exactly
how many since I still need to organize. I at least have my cylinders
separated by type now, 2 min in one box, 4m wax in another, etc.
