Question, just bought a really nice Cygnet horn with original hangar. Can’t figure out how do I attach it to my standard photograph. It doesn’t look like the one I have on it now it has no hole at the bottom. Was this for a Fire side or something. It’s a Cygnet number 10. 1st photo is The one I have now and second is the one I just bought.

The first Cygnet horns, both #10 & #11, have a rigid connection with no spring. The horn cranes for rigid horns is slightly different plus they are difficult to find. I believe Brian Parlier (
[email protected]) could sell you the little connection piece to be used with the spring type Cygnet crane. It would be easy to gently bend the retaining portion, remove the rigid set-up, slip in the common connection, and tap back the retaining part.
If you go with the rigid set-up, a Tiz-It (sp?) is a good connection between the reproducer and horn.

As Jerry said, here is the horn and crane on my Standard and the tizit that came with that set up back in 1910.
