SOLD: Gold Plated Brass Victor Orthophonic Reproducer $395

Offered is a gold plated brass Orthophonic reproducer fully rebuilt, serviced, and tested by Wyatt Markus in July 2022. Service included a thorough cleaning and adjusting, new rubber mount, and all new bearings and silicon dampers installed. The diaphragm was in great shape and was not replaced. Upon completion of the rebuild and service, Wyatt shared with me that "it plays IMPRESSIVELY and is a keeper". Gold plating shows wear which is considered in the price. Please let me know if you have questions or would like additional pictures. Price is $395 plus actual shipping, with payment via check or PayPal F&F.

That's a very fair price David as so many have sold for $5-600 and more

This is not 100% brass, since the back ring nut is a pot metal one. If it is a brass ring, it's color is brass color, not gray.

The entire back does look to be pot metal which is really strange. The brass have the text engraved. The Potmetal versions have the text embossed. Maybe it is just the pictures.

The writing on the back is engraved brass. Maybe the angle of the picture doesn't show it clearly, but easy to see if you magnify the picture.

That makes sense. It had to be brass to fit so well on a brass body.
