Were the first front mount cranes for the Edison morning glory horns different from the later version? What I am referencing is the way they are made. The later ones have the bottom half with the curve and the top half is the straight section. I've seen some just the opposite. The bottom is straight and the top is curved.
Any insight about when the change was made?

I can't say I've ever seen an "Edison" crane like this before, but I'm sure there's still a lot of things I haven't seen.
All the ones I've seen for the straight morning glory horns, for the Standard model up, consisted of the foot, the guide, a bent lower rod and straight upper rod.

This appears to be the bent upper rod configuration.
I found it online and it's the first I've ever seen.
They must be far less common, particularly here in Australia.
My uneducated guess would be these are earlier than the usual common type, and probably weren't around for long?
It would be interesting to know just when the change was made, and whether the same company supplied Edison with both versions.
