Will an AP-951 work in place of a 952?

It somewhat depends on the suffix. There were several version of each, -A, -X, -Y. The later versions of the AP-951 used the UV-886 on 60 Hz to get more B+ voltage without changing the transformer. They boosted the primary voltage and dropped the filament voltages with resistance wire to make up for it. They also added a fuzz filter. The big differences are whether they were designed to work with a radio chassis, requiring different resistor dividers. And whether they are driving a high impedance speaker like an RCA 100 in a Cromwell or a low impedance dynamic speaker like Tuscany. The basic parts are there and usually something can me made to work. The output transformer is the only critical component. Brunswick liked to use the AP-952 a lot.

It's meant for a Brunswick P-11. I don't know which it is. If it won't work, is it similar in value to a 952? It's restored.
