That set screw is Victor part number 597WN
The thread is 5-40 (still a modern standard). Length 5/32”
You are fortunate because Victor used many old machine screw sizes such as 10-30 and ¼-24 and finding modern equivalents is difficult.
However, It may be hard to find 5-40 set screws with a slotted drive, most or all will have a hex (Allen) drive.

Available from McMaster Carr, buy the flat tip type to avoid damage to the shaft.

If you don’t want an Allen type and can’t find ones with a slotted drive I can send you a 4” piece of 5-40 stainless threaded rod if you are able to cut and slot them yourself. No charge, just send your address.

Harry,

I mailed the piece of 5-40 rod, let us know how your project works out.

What are your plans for cutting and slotting the rod?

You might try a narrow abrasive cut-off blade in your Dremel tool or a jeweler’s saw.

While searching for wood screws for a Gibson mandolin restoration I saw that the supplier also listed slotted 5-40 x ⅛” nickel set screws. 1/32” shorter than the Victor spec but a viable option.
