Here is a Harvard Disc Record I found today! It’s a six inch disc, but the Quartet is unknown? Could not find it in the Columbia Discography!

Perhaps a seven-inch disc? Nice score!

If you could read the matrix numbers here below the label it would be definitive for trying to locate the original Columbia recording

Not those numbers. He's wanting the ones embossed in the record, visible under the label, in the area he circled.

Jerry!!!
Seems to be 5204-2 or similar... better if you could read them under a strong light and provide the results... It's a Columbia matrix number, which could be a clue to search the precise recording data...

Ok, as suspected, Harvard mx nos match label nos in these series. Not great help by my side.. Abrams files have this info:
Columbia A-0371 COLUMBIA STELLAR MALE QT MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME 512=1 12/??/01 STEPHEN FOSTER
512 VOCAL QT MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME - - 7 - -
He estimates it to be from December 1901. This date might well come from Steven C Barr Almost Complete Guide.
Don't know by then who were the Stellar Qt. Other sources might help, as Tim Brooks' stories about Columbia, or old catalogues...
Anyone having the Columbia matrix books could see if there's something more, but DAHR, doesn't give more info.

There are versions with piano and with orchestra. If you could please check which version is this, maybe we could clarify the DAHR clouds about these recordings, and who sang those...
