WANTED: PARTS FOR MY CIRCASSIAN L-DOOR PROJECT
Posted: Sat Feb 25, 2023 9:48 pm
If anyone followed my other thread, you would know I picked up a gutted Victor XVI L-door in circassian walnut on the cheap. It is an early "B" model. So I have decided to go after the cabinet pieces first as I think they may be the hardest to locate. After these pieces come together I'll start looking at the other easier pieces to pick up. Many members have already been helpful with information and I very much appreciate it.
I'd really like to bring this machine back to it's glory. The wood is awesome and will look amazing if I can bring it all back. So here's what I'm looking for and I'm hoping the members here can help.
1) Motor board. The VTLA, Pooley flat top, Victor VI (6) or early L-door model (model A or B) that sits on top of the opening. It measures 13 ¼" square
2) Record compartment. I need the 2 vertical sections that sit under the pull-out shelf, plus the 2 horizontal small side pieces that would hold the record boxes. See pic.
3) Bottom pull-out shelf
Obviously I would prefer to have walnut but beggars can't be choosers so I'll take any type of wood in the pieces I need. So, do any members have any of these parts lying around? Know of another destroyed machine that would help make this one whole again? If so get in touch with me.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
