Stuck Oilers on Dictapnone Shaver

I have a Dictaphone shaver I've used on and off for years. I recently decided to clean it up for display only, since it has the cute little oak cabinet and lid. I've not been able to get the oilers loose from the bedplate. I don't want to scar the nickel finish. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Steve

Penetrating oil, a tiny bit of heat, and then wrap them with rubber and undo them with some large pliers.

They may be pressed in. In fact, I'm pretty sure they are, since no "extra" threads are visible where the oilers meet the casting. Is it totally necessary to remove them?

Thanks to you both! I and leaning towards leaving them. I had not yet cleaned the bedplate so I wasn't sure what work would vbe necessary.
Yes, I believe they are pressed in--no threads visible and the oilers are different heights. But I sure didn't want to pull much until I was sure. Now I think it is safest to clean with them in place.

Thanks again!

I agree, leave them alone. If it's not broke, don't fix it applies in this case. Clean around them IMHO..
