The photo is not Caruso, and in the text the seller states clearly that Caruso died in 1921, and that this is a 1973 photo. ?????????????

Kind of like those Columbia/Edison Victrolas, in a way...

I saw the ebay ad and this picture is not Caruso.This listing seems like out right fraud. I don't know what this seller is trying to pull.

Photo is obviously NOT from 1973, but much earlier. The person in the photo sort of resembles Enrico Caruso Jr. (1904-1987) I could only find one photo of him, online, from the 1920s, but I've seen others --

Jr. had a somewhat limited singing/acting career, probably due more to his famous name, if this youtube clip in any indication:

It's not Enrico Jr.

Kind of looks like baritone Robert Merrill.

It may just be a mistake, perhaps a seller who doesn't have a clue what he's selling.

Which is not to totally excuse it.

It's not like a forged Caruso autograph on there that's going to go for big bucks or anything.
