Thanks! It looks great. Is this only once a year?

The show is once a year, the 3rd Sat in Jan.

Thanks for the great pictures. Great detail compared to my big overview pictures. I didn't spend too much time at the show, in order to avoid the obvious temptation. I went in, grabbed the stuff that was waiting for me, did a once around, OK, maybe twice, and then got out. I had a 15 hr drive ahead of me that day and an Explorer full of machines already so could not have squeezed in anything else anyway.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Tony. Warms the heart of those of us snowed-in in the north-east.

There is a Victor Junior in the corner of picture 74. Do you or anyone else attending remember anything about this machine? Price? Original? Name of seller?

Thanks!

Yes, thanks for taking the time to post the pics!

Any idea on the price of the phonolamp?

The reproduction glass horns look very nice. How do they sound in comparison to metal horns?

Glass funnels were already suggested to Edison in February 1878!

I saw the glass horns on Friday morning as a few were unboxed in the lobby by Steve (I think that was Steve?) while the earlybirds waited for the weather to settle, but he politely declined to state a price and that the price would be revealed when the horns went on sale on Friday. I noticed that these horns did not have a metal ferrule on the end as did Paul Baker's reproductions of a few years back. I've seen originals with metal ferrules, but I don't know if I've seen an original without one. Can anyone speak to this?

John - I've got an original that doesn't have a metal ferrule. I have several reproduction glass horns with and without ferrules.

They are all on Pathé Gaulois machines (French equivalent of an Edison Gem) with Pathé reproducers. They definitely sound a little brighter but for the most part, the difference is very subtle.

Unfortunately I don't have a glass cygnet horn that I could mount on an Opera - now that would be a comparison! Wood to glass cygnet horn challenge.

Here are a few examples. Can you guess which one is original?
