I have attached a photo below. I just bought this ENORMOUS witches hat horn and I'm looking for anything you guys may know about it.
It's an Accepted Standard Amplifying Horn. It measures 43" in length and the diameter of the brass bell is 24". Was a horn like this really used in a home or did this one have a unique or special purpose?

That's a Tea Tray Company horn, sold to people who wanted a larger horn for their personal machines. If you look closely at the decal, the brass bell of the pictured horn will have "TTCo." on it.

Does it have any particularly unique value?
The seller wanted $129 but I managed to get him down to $89. I think it's curiously even comically amazing despite being a little overpowering in the livingroom of my 1 bedroom apartment.

Tea Tray was a huge supplier of horns in their time. It (along with another company) supplied horns for Edison.

There's not any particularly "unique value" to the horn, but for $89.00 you did fine. A 42-inch horn is larger than usual, but 56-inch, 60-inch, and 72-inch horns were also offered in the catalogs. I've always like the "Approved Amplifying Horn" decal.
