It certainly looks similar anyway ................ just a bit faded a bit ............... maybe .........

Oh my, that is not good. I'd much rather have a real live living Nipper but that is simply ghoulish. Poor chap. Why not let him R.I.P?

Oddly enough, poor Nipper (1884 –1895 ) was dead and buried by the time the original painting was made in 1898 -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Master%27s_Voice . If I remember correctly, Barraud worked from a photograph, although a taxidermied dog would have made a good model.... :shock:
