I have a base cabinet for a Victor VI that is missing some bracket or something to open both doors at the same time. Does anyone have a cabinet like this that shows what the bracket looks like under the bottom shelf? Thanks, Ken Brekke

Ken, You have all the parts you need. All that's missing is a screw. There should be a hole in the base. The screw just acts as a stop. The doors open parallel to the cabinet sides.

James is mostly right, Here is a picture of mine also from a Herzog cabinet. I believe it requires a third "leg". Take a close look at the floor and find a hole that a screw might have gone into near that left wall. Then check that existing bracket to see if the third leg is hiding underneath perfectly (I hope so!).

To James's point there should be a screw at the intersection of the two visible legs as a stop, but that mechanism needs an anchor point to move both doors "synchronously" while pushing only on leaf of the door.

Thanks for the replies. I took a closer look and do see two holes. They appear farther apart than yours John. But, there are faint marks in the surface to show the arc of the arm when it swings open and closed. The pivot pin on the other two arms show there must have been another bar below the two shown. I should be able to fabricate the other arm with this information. It also looks like there is a plug inserted in the bottom board. Not sure what the meaning of that is. The swing marks don't line up with that being the pivot point. Thanks!!!!!!

John / Ken, I took a second look into the gap under the shelf and I spotted the head of the second screw. The gray rod is hidden in the dust.

Ken, the wooden plug is a doorstop.
I see that John's cabinet does not appear to ever had it.

On John's cabinet correct? I don't see any rod in mine.

I was referring to the plug that is near the 5" mark on my cabinet. It is flush with the surface.

My mistake --- post deleted.

I believe the wooden "plug" should be a dowel that is a door stop, so the doors can not be pushed to far in when closed. My oak cabinet is a different model and the dowel "stop" is located at the top of the door on mine. It should be long enough that the door bumps it when closed and then your lock should line up. JD
