Prices are high but they may come down closer to the end date. Several V-V-50’s.

Re: Online estate sale Cheyenne WY
I'm looking for a VV-50. Would anyone like to buy one of these and ship it to the UK for a generous fee?

It seems they do ship internationally but the shipping at 265 USD is simply cost prohibitive. Going back a few years now I used to buy machines from the US and don't recall ever paying that much, even for two box shipments. Does this seem right?

The turntable felt looks original to me, I've seen several originals with that exact color. In general, this is one of the nicest ones I've seen, at least from the pictures. Of course, it's not the desired mahogany.

I must admit that I would only be interested in buying the Mahogany version. They remind me of India Teak gramophones and look, well, fantastic !
And I imagine sound fantastic too !

Re: Online estate sale Cheyenne WY
Of course, UK buyers will be familiar with the mahogany VV-50 that jakescore1 is selling in the UK. It has an ugly bit of damage where a chunk has broken off the lid around the hinge but is otherwise okay. I was tempted by it before he snapped it up for resale but the seller didn't reply to my question quick enough for me to be satisfied that it was worth my £200. It's now £300. Although a better example can easily be found in the US the shipping cost just kills it, let alone UK Customs charges which are normally 20% VAT plus handling, even when antiques are supposed to be charged at 5%. Damaged or not, I don't think anyone will find a better example at a cheaper price in the UK, sadly, but as they say on Dragon's Den, "I'm out!"
