Sun bleached Victrola

I have a really nice circassian L-door. It used to have 4 matching sides. Now only 3 match. I pulled it away from the window to do some work and noticed what the sun had done over the past 5 years. I should add the faded side was also close to the floor register for the furnace/CA.

It will have a new location from now on but is there anything I can do to bring the light side back? Without a full strip down cause that's just not going to happen.

Pics included. Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Try Tung oil. It's a natural finish for teak that is colorless, but will darken the wood - hopefully bringing back the original color. Try it in an inconspicuous place first. Disclaimer: No guarantees...

That’s such a beautiful machine. How about that Howard’s Restor a finish stuff..?
I’ve used that a couple times to blend and to make things look better without a full strip.

Tung oil - no. Restore-a-finish - no. If that's an original finish, I'd do a lot of experimentation with a much cheaper Victor finish before I go messing with this one. Honestly, I think you're better off living with this than running the risk of really fouling it up using somebody's hunch.
