The Austin Company, Peerless Phonograph

Post by Torjazzer »

Greetings, all.
Could anyone please give me some information on this phonograph.
Manufactured by The Austin Company of Providence, Rhode Island, it was marketed a Peerless phonograph.
I have only been able to find images of a brochure. The strange thing is that the underside label refers to the phonograph as model no. 27; the brochure identifies it as a no. 2.
I can see that my example does not have the correct tonearm nor reproducer.
Any additional information would be appreciated. Also, looking for the correct tonearm and reproducer.

Many thanks...

The reproducer you seem to have is a Cheney, not for this machine.
