HMV Coronation medal - 1911

Oooooh !!!! I have never seen nor heard of anything like this before !
Has the HMV company history relating to this item completely disappeared ????? How many were made ???? Who received them ???? Were they generally for sale ?????

I've had this medal for 30 years. Back before the Holy Bible of HMV collecting, the red book which Roger has linked to, first appeared there was a brown cover shorter version of the same book by the same authors. Between that reference book and Ruth Lambert I learnt a lot about all the various souvenirs produced down through the years

£75 with postage. I think that's about what they sold for over 30 years ago. Gramophone ephemera is such a great investment!

Oh, glad you up-dated this as I had forgotten all about it !
With inflation as it is I should be able to afford one in about 10 years then !
