As originally published, the auctioneer's listing pictured a small pile of Berliners, but did not even state how many there were.
Only after I had asked the question did this information appear, but later they added that the records were 7 inch size.
I got as far as asking about postage and packing, for which their recommended firm wanted about £45.
Having decided not to bid, I looked this morning when the high bid was £240. They have now sold, but the website says "auctioneer has chosen not to publish the price of this lot". What have they got to hide?

They should know better than to put stickers on grooved surfaces. Put them on the back where there will be no trouble removing them. Beyond that I think they want anyone to know what they sold for to pay for that privilege. Right or wrong...

I contacted the auction gallery for the details. These sold for 260 GBP.

The photograph appears to show fourteen records. I think the buyer should be very happy. How often does one have the chance to buy any Berliner for less than GBP20.00 nowadays?

The price realized for these records doesn't surprise me. I do not often review items on eBay but now just did. I saw a Victor Jr complete with original horn and sound box (hard to get) for sale. It looked to be in original condition, i.e. not fussed with. The asking price was $750 or best offer. Then there was a Victor II that had what looked to be a decent horn (some rust) but also in decent condition. The Buy-it-Now price was $499. These prices strike me as low--especially for eBay--compared to what they sold for even a few years ago. I don't think these prices are unusual, including the Berliners, and may represent the market better than so much of the overpriced items for sale on eBay.
