Well folks here it is, going on recommendations from members I'll offer up this original Rastus, as found, with his ratty as found box as well. If you followed my post viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54562 you'll see that as I uncovered a machine, I uncovered more parts of Rastus. I was going to go through the process of fixing this little guy up but found that he just sat on top of one of the Victrolas for way too long and I have way too many projects, I just won't get to him. Every part is original, the only missing part is one foot which I imagine for all the crafty woodworkers out there is pairly simple to reproduce.

I will box this up as best I can in order to keep the box from deteriorating any more and keep Rastus's paint on him. I'm guessing about $10 to ship him well. I can't tell you
anything about it except what you see in the post above. I'm no expert on these so hoping the photos do the trick. Happy to provide any other photos someone may wish. I do have PayPal and will send information when there is interest. If you prefer the good ol' days I can take a check. Just let me know. I figured I'd offer this up here before I headed to FaceBook Marketplace. Reasonable offers not refused! I'm not on here very often during the summer due to connectivity where I am so you may not hear from me for a day or two. Cheers!

It does work. Internals have been re-waxed.

In 1971 I was promoted, but the downside was a transfer from Somerset to Lancashire, where my wife and I bought a large Victorian house in the Southport suburb of Birkdale, famous for it's championship golf course.
In a local antique shop we saw a large brass horned Columbia with a dancing Rastus. The price was £50, a lot of money to us in those days, so with a new home to decorate and furnish we did not buy it. I still remember it as "one that got away".

Would 125$ buy it?
