Just incredible. Chances sound quite good that this thing may hit as a hurricane. Hope not though. Stay safe everyone! :o

I attended the meet and was worried about the storm. I brought five machines to the show. They were an Edison Army-Navy DD phono (rough), an Edison B-80 in oak with a stand, an Edison Schubert Edisonic (shortened), an oak Cheney model 2, and a 1930 Edison r-7 radio. I only sold two, the Edisonic Schubert and the Edison R-7 radio. To make more room in my house, I gave the other three away to a friend so I wouldn't have to bring them back home. I brought shrink wrap to water proof the cabinets when they were moved out of the building on Sunday. The attendance was poor due to the weather, but it needn't have been. The rain on Sunday was not heavy and there was little wind until much later in the evening. There was a great demonstration at the dinner by Gary Dial of his newly acquired British EMG Phono, with the biggest horn I've ever seen on a phonograph. The sound from this machine was the finest sound I've ever heard from a phonograph!
