3D printing gaskets

Hi all!
As I was looking for different replacement materials for soundbox rebuilds it came to my mind that it might be possible to 3D print such gaskets using TPU (termoplastic poliurethane).
The proper spring constant could be achieved via adjustment of the infill. Has anyone tried this before? Could the lack of a smooth surface affect the performance?
