Hi Jerry ,
Yes I saw that one , but I noticed something very Funky about the mounting holes in the rear ( or front) of the cabinet .You can see the original front mount holes and then , instead of 2 holes for either the rigid or taper back bracket located near the center of the panel, there is just one hole that looked like maybe it was paired up with one of the original front mount holes to mount the bracket……but not in the proper position……... Anyway it doesn’t look right to me , so I decided to pass on that one.
I would appreciate your opinion on that point.
Thank You,
Jim

Jim,

I must admit, I was confused by that as well. If it were me, I could probably forgive a stray hole but I wouldn't like the missing section of molding.

The rectangular hole is strange, but Jerry is right about the molding, it would be very difficult to find an original replacement piece. The only option would be to cast it out of resin and color it to match.

Thanks Curt and Iniigo for the ideas. How would someone go about making a mold for the resin?
Has anyone out there experimented along those lines?
Jim.

I'm sure it has been done and shown herein in the past, pity the images are lost.... Do a search on the forum, or wait till someone jumps in with the explanations...

Have several pieces of Victor Monarch moulding that was salvaged off a destroyed M case.
