SALE PENDING
Offered for sale from the collection of the late Charley Hummel is this Kalamazoo Multiphone.
A more recent addition to his collection, this machine has not had a complete restoration. The machine recently spent time with expert repair man Mr. Ken Danckert and its reproducer freshly serviced by Mr. Wyatt Markus. The machine is believed to be complete, but will require work in order to cycle correctly. This model multiphone was the "last hurrah" for coin operated cylinder machines, being produced in very limited numbers in the late teens.
Its a complicated mechanism which offers one of the most curious, unique, and appealing methods of cylinder selection, playback, and return. A similar example sold at the most recent Stanton auction in May, but with less than a dozen thought to exist today, they don't enter the market all too often.
The machine may be picked up in Wayne NJ or 25 minutes north of Scranton Pennsylvania at my home. Willing to assist with transportation within an hour of either location.
I prefer email over PM's but will correspond promptly to any inquires.
