Granada two spring conversion

I made my weekly trip to the Salvation Army today looking for records and found what I thought was a Victor Granada sitting by the front door. The cabinet was missing the legs and had been “antiqued” at some point of its life, however all the parts were there and in great condition. I gave the crank a few turns and the motor ran well. As I looked the cabinet over I noticed the round vent holes on the back panel, then I looked close at the ID tag and indeed this was once an electric machine. (VE 4-4 X) I pulled the platter and found the holes for the induction motor as well as the “electric” inspection tag. Opening the back panel exposed a Victor two spring motor. They had priced this machine at $265.00  which was out of the question. I found the manager and offered $50 for it and was quickly told no (he seemed offended) but as I walked away he called me back and said o.k. I assumed this was going to be an amateur electric to spring conversion but now that I’m home with the parts and looking at the motor board I’ve noticed the old lubricating sticker for the electric motor had been covered with a diagram for the two spring, pasted on just like the factory application. This could be a dealer conversion? Would the dealer have extra two spring lubrication stickers around?

Too bad the case sounds like it's in such bad shape. This sounds like an interesting little mystery.
