Here's a scan from English edition of the Edison Phonograph Monthly. This was reprinted in the old Talking Machine Review magazine in 1972. It's the instructions how to use the new Model O reproducer. This article didn't appear in the American edition of the EPM.
I'm a fan of the O: I bought one last year and I've finally got it working to my satisfaction. They are very pleasing devices....if a bit fussy to disassemble!

Thank you for posting this. Wonderful! I never knew that the part one pulls on to change timing is called the 'clutch casing'. Good to know!

Thanks for posting. I'm also a fan of the O and the M and I love the related paper.
Properly adjusted, there's nothing better for playing two minute records. The L is of course comparable for four minute wax.

Thank you for showing this! I've always been confused about the makeup of these reproducers.

Hi
Can you upload the entirety of that piece? I would like to print it out to accompany my Model O. I wondered why I couldn't find it in my american EPM collection!
Thanks
John

That's all there is ...or at least all they reprinted in The Talking Machine Review
It's too bad there isn't a reprint of the run of the British Edition of the Edison Phonograph Monthly. I've seen several articles taken from it that were very interesting and completely different from those in the US publication.

Is the 4 minute side of the "O" suitable for playing both 4 minute wax cylinders as well as the celluloid ones?
I also see that th eleaflet refers to the point on the 4 minute side as being saphire - I thought it would of been a diamond.
Im confused!

The O was introduced in 1910, well before the Blue Amberol records of 1912. It was " state of the art" for wax Amberols and two minute records and consequently has two sapphire styli.
They sound very good and they do a nice job with the celluloid cylinders as well.

Interesting. I assume that a saphire would be suitable to play celluloid cylinders.
Of course I once had an "O"...but no longer and now I can't afford to buy another one
