It's gone through at least three times now without receiving a bid and is up for a fourth (or more). The last time, the seller dropped the opening bid by $25 or so; still nothin'. If it weren't "pickup only in Benton, Louisiana," 1,200 miles away (that's 1,900 km+, for our Metric System friends), I'd be sorely tempted, although I need another diamond disc machine even less than another hole in the head. Note that it will need some cabinet work: the lid has a pronounced case of Flower Pot Syndrome, the door appears to be missing a little piece of inlay, and the grille is damaged, too. I assume the latter could be swapped out for a perfect mahogany grille from any common, garden variety S-19?

No, the Inlaid Sheratons are substantially larger than the S-19s.

What was the model designation for the inlaid sheraton that had the violin marquetry on the record drawer? Is it known how many examples of that model variant exist?

That would be the a-290!
