As Bob has already noted - YES - these are the same documents that were auctioned some time ago. It's a massive archive, and without the help of a couple of APS volunteers, there's no way all of this could be scanned for permanent conservation, and offered to the collecting community for FREE. It's another good reason to join the APS and consider a tax-deductible donation.

In addition, the APS will have access to another large grouping of Victor papers from the same donor, which have not yet been offered for sale. The organization hopes to preserve the information in these documents in the same manner, but the effort and resourcing needed for these activities is substantial. We're hoping to obtain grants for these projects, but in the meantime the APS relies on its membership, donors, and volunteers to get the job done.
