Quote from George.
Over the past three years, expenses have jumped significantly. Launching a new Midwest show and a new website has been very expensive (especially the much-expanded, highly secure new website).
George,

Thank you for being a great contrubutor and keeping us all aware of the details, but let me correct one thing you shared recently on this forum.  The launching of the Midwest show was not a financial burden on APS.   I was one of the four key leaders that put on the first show, and provided direct support to other individuals to put on the second show.  The first show, in 2022 was cash flow positive to APS.  To the best of my knowledge the second show, this year in 2023, was cash flow neutral or slightly positive.

It was other decisions of APS leadership that have put the club in the current financial dilemma.

Shawn,

Thank you for the clarification regarding the Midwest Music EXPO.

Now I must offer a correction. The APS is not in a "financial dilemma." Mounting expenses have created a negative cash flow, such as many businesses are experiencing. The APS is taking steps to increase its income to meet those conditions. Being a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), the organization's finances are open for inspection.

Just curious... Is there some place on the website to look at the finances? If not where would you look?

From what I understand, you can ask a non-profit for a copy of their 990 form. They are required to submit it to the IRS and it's available to all who request it. Someone please correct me if I'm incorrect.
