Members,
I am trying to collect what I consider “basically “ all 4 Victor E phonograph.
I have the Front Mount, Rigid Arm, rear mount 8” turntable.
I read on the internet that at the end of the production run it came with a 10” turntable.
Is this correct?
Thank You

Robert Baumbach's authoritative "Look for the Dog" (2005 edition) refers only to a 7" turntable. He makes no mention of a 10". He also notes that "When equipped with either the rigid or tapering tone arm, this model was referred to by the company as a 'Victor II', although before 1909 the dataplate was stamped 'E'. The instruments made in late 1902-1904 could be fitted with either the front mount or rear mount style horn, and an instruction plate covered the rigid or taper arm mounting holes."

Have you checked the information in the Victor Data Book from Baumbach? I don't have the book but I feel like it contains all the details you're looking for.

Would you mind posting a link to that info - I'm sure we would be interested...

A side note:
I notice in the Victor-Victrola article above, it mentions the E as having a
'basic single-spring motor'. My example is double-spring, and Reiss corroborates that. If the V-V page could be mistaken on that detail, could they also have made an error about the turntable?
