Do not play 4 minute wax cylinders on your Amberola 30. The diamond stylus will ruin wax records. All 4 minute celluloid cylinders will play fine.

You can play 4 minute Indestructible and Oxford on a 30.Also,4 minute US Everlasting.Do NOT play 4 minute wax Amberols on a 30.The weight of the reproducer and the diamond stylus will ruin them.edisonplayer.

This is the 4 minute Amberol type record NOT to play on your 30. Note the end marking, with the Edison signature, "4M" mark, black wax composition, and flat end. Also, the green Amberol carton, (however those cartons could house any cylinder, so don't go strictly by that). You can literally play any other 4 minute cylinder.

There was a "special" Amberola 30 made for the ICS language schools that uses a modified Model H reproducer with a cut down tail instead of the usual Diamond C reproducer. These are uncommon as they were only sold by one company, and only by mail order. They are also the only period correct way to play wax Amberols on an Amberola 30.

If it is indeed an Indestructible, it will have metal rings inside either end, and a cardboard core. You can play that on the 30.

Does it also have the other markings I mentioned? The Edison signature?
