Info about Talking Machine Horn "Crate"

Does anyone have any information about this shipping "crate" for a talking machine horn? It is from the New York Talking Machine Co. at 65 Read St., N.Y. and was sent to Wanamaker's, which I know was a department store, in New York.

Since this is more like a basket than a crate, I can't imagine too many of them survived and I have not been able to find any info for anything like it. Is anyone familiar with these? Any suggestions as to value?

I think several of us have seen these. Not that they're all too common however. Cool item!

65 Reade St., NY, NY today...
(There does not seem to be a "Read" street in NY.)

I have 2 or 3 of these. Obviously I think they're interesting, but not every collector does. I like shipping crates too...

As for value, you need to find the right buyer and arrive at a mutually beneficial figure. I realize that's not very helpful, but this is a case of "rarity" not necessarily driving "value."
