I took out all three spring today ... cleaned everything and put the springs back in with new grease.

I will order a new pin but to try it, I sanded down a nail to fit .... just want to test the springs.

I decided to try taking off the reproducer.

I know on a victor you need to move it downward and it should pull off ... no way!

I unscrewed the reproducer from the rubber so I will not hurt it ... still no way!

I then took out the screw and removed to lower part of the arm. I can clearly see the pin and slot but it is very corroded.

I am soaking it in penetrating oil over night.

Any suggestions on how to get this free?

I need to get a new rubber piece ... mine is hard as a rock.

I assume that when you removed the 2 screws that hold the reproducer to the rubber, the reproducer came off? If not, it's just stuck to the decayed rubber. Since you have to replace the rubber back flange anyway, and since the tone arm u-tube has been removed, have no fear in grabbing hold of the rubber flange and using whatever force necessary to remove it. It needs to turn counterclockise a bit, then should pull straight off. In pulling straight off, you may need to wiggle it back & forth a bit as you're pulling. They can be stuck pretty tight!

I took the reproducer off the rubber piece and put it aside ... I was afraid of hurting it.

I took the small tone arm off so I would not be prying on the large arm.

I see the pin inside and slot so I understand how it should come off.

I put a lot of force into it ... but it is really stuck on there.

I just wanted to make sure there was not some trick or something I am missing.

I will give it another shot today.

I had a similar problem recently and heat from a heat gun solved the problem. Make sure to use leather gloves to handle after heating

Thanks ... I played with getting the springs in and setting the speed till 3 in the morning ...

Then played for a few hours more with the speed when I got up,

I will try getting the reproducer bushing off again tonight.
