I might get a Columbia Q phonograph if I do well on a New York State music thing, but what records can it play? Will it only play 2-minute Columbia, or can it play 2-minute edison cylinders, too? Also, will it play Wax and Celliloud, or just Wax or Cellioluid?

It will play any 2 minute cylinder that will fit on its mandrel

As was said, it will play any 2 min cylinder. A lot of people use the Q to test brown wax cylinders because the reproducer is so light and doesn't harm them.

thanks! i saw an unlabeled black wax cylinder? in a antique store in beacon ny, so i might have to go back to get it if i get this phonograph.
