Hello, I've only been collecting for a few months and got my first phonograph very recently, a Victor II (1909-1913 model). I know that there is no one correct answer on this subject, but I'd like too know what you guys think.

My supplies for oiling are:
>Cheap Sewing Machine Oil
>Vaseline
>Pennzoil Red Bearing Grease
>Various Gun Oils

Any help is appreciated.
(By the way, I mean oiling the gears, not the spring.)

Your supply of lubricants looks fine, except for maybe vaseline. Grease is fine for the larger, slow moving gears, while oil is best for the governor gears and rotating shafts. Stay away from 3-in-1 oil, it's junk.
