I dumped out the used needle cup on my new VV-XIV and found some needle styles I’ve never seen before. Anybody know anything about them?

I find the spear point ones kind of schreechy. Never have seen the other shapes, even through the middle two are pretty standard-looking. They’re used, but I might get a crap record and try them out.

The odd one out is the brass one. It's either really worn out or the tip unscrews to reveal a sapphire for Edison DD

The brass one is a Victor Tungs Tone Soft Tone with the tip worn away. The one with the slender needle on a thicker shaft is a Recoton "Automatic", made for record changers.

Another needle I just dug out of the back of my XIV.
