Edison case repair or replace?

I don't know how part of a case could get torn away like this. Maybe it was yanked, and split, and missing bits discarded. Anyway, I don't have the bits. What do people suggest? Do I need a replacement base? In that case I am looking for a Triumph D2 base. Thanks for your suggestions.

To my thinking, you do not need a new base/cabinet. The problem is that the 2 corner pieces have sections missing. Those corners need to be neatly removed. At that point, you have 2 options. 1.) make replacement corners. 2.) repair the existing corners.
Number 2 option:
(Why go to the trouble? Because I like to save as much original material as possible.)

And thanks from me to. It would be a good repair if I knew how to shape wood. We'll see what I can figure out.

You're welcome.
Careful use of a file and/or sandpaper, backed up by a sanding block, is all you really need to shape the new piece. Patience too...
It's made of wood. If it doesn't work, there's always more wood in the world to start over with.

On the other hand, if someone just happened to have the remains of an old Triumph case, and it had three corners.... I think all corners are identical, some just turned upside down. One on the left has been screwed into, so that makes three damaged or with wood missing.
I may still go for the repair but am scouting options.
Pic attached here of what those corner pieces look like.

Agreed. Finding a donor case with good corners would the best option.

FYI: a model D Triumph uses the same case as a D2. I believe later model cases are also the same, but I'm not sure.

Anyone with a table saw and some dado blades can make that.
The dado grooves are cut first from a piece of square stock, and then shaped to fit the cabinet with a hand plane and "blocked" sand paper.

The main problem is removing the old damaged corners to repair them...
