Wanted: Eagle B belt cover

I need the belt cover for an Eagle B cylinder machine. I read that many are gone because the belt had so much trouble and people just left them off, but just wanted to complete the machine I just got. PM me if you have one in your spares box. Thanks.

I'm unaware of any chronic problems with Eagle belts. I have several with their original 125 year-old belts. However, it's necessary to remove the belt cover to disassemble the machine. The two tiny screws that secure the belt cover are a bugger to reassemble, and are also easily lost. I suspect this accounts for so many missing Eagle belt covers.

Depending on how interested you are in historical accuracy, you may be interested to know that there are three basic versions of the belt cover. These are described/shown along with serial number ranges here:

Keep checking. Seller Croakinfrog tends to turn up these covers fairly regularly.
