FOR SALE: FOUR 10" PRE-DOG VICTOR MONARCH RECORDS
Posted: Tue Jun 04, 2024 11:20 pm
As many on this Forum already know, Victor was started by Eldridge R. Johnson, a machinist from Camden, NJ. His first records came out in 1900. The 10" record was called the Victor Monarch Record. It also set forth a "lease agreement" on top half of the label. Victor Monarch Record survivors are becoming scarce. The ones I am offering here are 10” one-sided records and have been in a private collection for many years, have been paper sleeved and not played that often. The photos pretty much accurately show condition. No chips, cracks or scratches. Records and prices are listed as follows (Media insured shipping will be extra) Packing will be done carefully:
1. I Need the Money by Silas Leachman #3354 Price: $150 Sale pending
2. Intermezzo Forever by Arthur Pryor #3253 Price: $150
3. The Gladiator March by Sousa’s Band #3228 Price: $195
4. Patrol, Rose, Thistle and Shamrock by Sousa’s Band #1194 Price $195
