Great video. Is there any idea when the case styles went from having a banner decal to not having the banner decal?

The BS case without a banner came first. However, you can't tell by the catalog when they introduced the banner on the case, as all of the catalog cuts, even until 1902, use the same cut as in the 1898 catalog that shows the BS without a banner. Adding a banner to the case had to come pretty fast based on the limited amount of examples without a banner (original), and the fact that the N, AS, ES etc. had the banner from the start.

I think I am correct in saying the first cases of the BS, without a banner, used the tops from an AS - you can see the molding line on the BS exactly as an AS case. BS cases with a banner, do not have this molding line on the case. So, it must have been a production change to use a unique case lid on the BS when the banner was introduced. Again, pretty early in manufacture. Shawn
