Branded Case GEM

I’ve been away from the Forum and phonograph collecting for quite a long time.
I picked up this Branded Case GEM today that is missing its reproducer and needs a little TLC.
I believe the carriage eye on this machine is designed to take a GEM speaker.
Is this reproducer hard to find?
Will a Model B reproducer fit?
Is a Model B period correct for 1900-1902?

George, We haven’t spoken in some time.
I hope all is well with you!
If you see this post, can you date the machine?
Serial # G33261
Thanks all!!!

Gene, congratulations on that Gem. I especially like the Heppe dealer tag.

There's an article in the June 2023 issue of the APS magazine illustrating and describing all models of the Gem - including a dating chart. Your Gem left the factory in November 1901.

Best of luck with its restoration!

George

Is the Gem speaker tough to find?
I’m guessing more expensive than a Model C?

It's not too difficult to find, unless of course you need one!
