Victor 2 Phonograph

This might sound like a stupid question but I know nothing about external horn phonographs. I purchased a Victor 2 from a member and it didn't come with a horn and the elbow was bent. I know that a Victor 1 horn doesn't fit but would a Victor 3 or 4 work? Like I said previously this is my first external horn so I'm looking for advice. Thanks.

As long as you have the II elbow, any Victor horn except the small early victor I horn will fit and those are pretty rare anyway. The style and size are a matter of personal taste and budget. I’m sure if you ask on TMF buy/sell forum someone will have one to sell. I personally like the smooth oak horn on my II.

Yes thats why I was asking because I love the smooth oak horns. I know they sell reproduction oak horns from Perú. Thank you for your response.

The small end of the Victor II elbow is unique to that model. As was previously said, the large end is common with Victors III, IV, V, & VI. If your elbow is bent I would suggest you check with your local music store that works with school bands. There's usually someone that repairs damaged brass instruments. I'd also ask collector John Duffy if he does such repairs. Enjoy your Victor II. It's a fine machine.

If you post a photo of the elbow someone will be able to give you advice on how to fix it, or who can best to fix it.
