I tried to have Caruso remembered on BBC Radio 3, their classical music station, firstly to mark the centenary of his death in August 2021 and secondly the 150th anniversary of his birth in February 2023. Sadly nothing happened.

How disappointing! Given his celebrity and relevance, one would have expected that these anniversaries would have been remembered even without the need of an external suggestion by a listener!
