~ WANTED ~ VTLA Lid support * please see pic *

Looking to find one of these...this came from an early VTLA Pooley "Flat Top" Victrola. I suppose it could be repaired...any ideas?? I'm also still looking for the small upper door knob for this machine. Any help is sure appreciated...my email is

There was an old thread herein about repairing that golden fish bone support... Was it maybe our much gifted colleague Herderz who made the miracle?

File both sides of the break flat so that they mate together with no gaps. Silver solder back together. Strike the repaired area repeatedly with a nylon hammer to work harden. Grind/sand the repair. Replate the part matte gold.

I had the same problem. I took it to a local metal shop and they cut one from a solid piece of brass. worked great and it was only 20 bucks or so.
