I realized that there was some confusion- Some thought I was looking for one of the fancy, cast "Sears" bases-
NOPE-- Just a regular flat, steel base that the mechanism mounts on.... as in the picture below--
Thanks!-Looking for a nice steel base for a Columbia Q.
Just purchased a Q that has a pretty rusty base--
The rest of the machine and case is pretty nice.
Thanks-
Brad Abell

Brad. I've hurt my back today and I can't get down to the basement to check my stash. I'll check in a day or two if you haven't found one.

Brad, I cant find the base anywhere. Sorry I guess I sold it.
You might try Brian at the phonograph shop. He might have one.

Brad,
I had a rusty, pitted one several years ago. I fixed it by laying it flat on my belt sander until all the issues were gone. Then I buffed it back to a mirror finish and there is no remaining cosmetic damage.., Just a thought.

Re: WANTED: Still Looking-- see picture- Columbia Q flat steel base..
Thanks Curt- I may may have to resort to that-- I don't like too shiny--and want it to match the rest of the mechanism--
but that may be my "until I find an original" solution-
Thanks!! Hope all is well! I've got a son in New Bern-- He loves it!!
