Homemade tinfoil phonograph

I am trying to make a simple tinfoil phonograph in a matter of days. Does anyone have any tips for making these. I am not looking to build a complicated ''good'' sounding machine, I am just looking for the simplest way to build one that works. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Charles D Smith makes copies of the wooden Smithsonian model. I believe he has plans on the Brotherhood of the Tin Foil Phonograph forum on Facebook. James Manker
