Toy "victrola"

I see these on the forum from time to time and have always liked them. Yesterday I ran into one at a local antique store near me and thought it would look cool next to my "real" machines. What do you guys think? The price is firm at $135, which doesn't sound too bad to me.

Very clean! I'd buy it!

I agree with Roaring 20's message. I have seen numerous of those machines over the years-- Often (usually) the wood grained finish is faded and worn...Almost as if kids actually played with it

That one looks to be in great shape. It won't give Credenza quality sound, but it's a fun little machine that is definitely in collector condition. I think the price is good given how nice it looks.

I agree - - it it works, that's a good price.
Just FYI, this isn't a "toy" machine. Period Carola advertising targeted adults. Evidently they sold pretty well.

These things are not usual, especially in that good shape. I'd go for it...
BTW, on your photo, just behind the machine there are a bunch of RCA and Columbia album sets. I'd also check what's in there...

Good eye Inigo! I actually was rushing through this big antique store yesterday and didn't have time to look at everything, but I seen 2 other booths with 78s in it as well. So now I will have 3 piles of records to look through when I return (at least).

In that condition, it is a good price. I have seed several other ones, not as nice, bring that or more.

Be very careful removing the price tag sticker. I can just imagine paint coming off with the sticker.

Is that a Hammond typewriter in the case next to it? Particularly a No. 12 or a Multiplex? If so --
