Looking for some horn dimensions

I’m trying to determine if the horns I have are correct for these two machines. Both machines use a black and brass bell horn. I would like any dimensions you can provide, but most importantly the outside diameter of the brass bell and the entire length of the complete horn, or the height if it’s sitting vertically:

Eldridge Johnson Victor type M, “pre-dog” model with spindles on case corners and horn using a leather elbow.

Columbia Disc Graphophone type AJ “ top wind” model also using a leather elbow for the horn.

Thanks you all in advance!

Cheers,

Darren Wallace

Hi Darren,
I can comment with certainty on the Victor Johnson "M" . The horn is 11.5" diameter bell and 21 long.

(The Columbia has a leather elbow model quite similar at 11.5" bell but it is 19" long.)

The AJ I do not know well enough to be certain.

I hope this helps! I have a loose Victor Johnson M horn if you need it! :)

Darren,

My AJ horn has a 9-½" diameter bell, and measures 15" from the rim of the bell, angling back to the end of the horn. In other words, not a vertical height as if measured with the horn were sitting on a table, large end down.

The ERJ "M" horn has a 11-½" diameter bell, and measures 19-½" long, measured as above.

Both are leather elbow horns
